Chicago Fire Season 13’s Premiere Sets Up A More Difficult Fate For Severide & Kidd’s Marriage

Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd can’t seem to catch a break in Chicago Fire as the season 13 premiere foreshadows trouble ahead for the couple. Severide and Kidd appear to be very much in love and in a stable relationship. However, little hints here and there suggest that happiness won’t last for long. Perhaps season 13 of the One Chicago TV show will finally be the season where Severide and Kidd’s marriage comes to an end after years of ups and downs.

During Chicago Fire season 13, episode 1, viewers learn that Stella isn’t ready to have children yet. Meanwhile, Severide expressed interest in starting a family at the end of the season 12 finale.

The Chicago Fire season 13 premiere picks up about six months after the events of the season 12 finale. It’s Boden’s Chicago Fire replacement’s (Dermot Mulroney’s Dom Pascal) first day on the job, and Sam Carver’s first day back at work following his furlough. Everyone reacts differently to Pascal and the changes he brings to Firehouse 51. While Kidd is quite skeptical of the new chief, Severide is more willing to give Pascal a chance. That is until Pascal reminds Severide about one of the Chicago Fire Department’s important rules.
