Young Sheldon Season 7 Image Teases Fallout From George & Missy’s S6 Finale Conversation

A brand new image from the set of Young Sheldon season 7 shows the fallout from George and Missy’s heartbreaking conversation in season 6.
Young Sheldon season 7 set images show what comes next for George (Lance Barber) and Missy (Raegan Revord) after their heartbreaking talk in the season 6 finale. While Sheldon (Iain Armitage) and Mary (Zoe Perry) flew to Germany for his summer stint abroad, the rest of the Coopers were left in Medford to deal with the catastrophic tornado. Missy was pretty shaken by her near-death experience with her father, causing her to finally own up to her mistakes throughout the year in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale.
Despite CBS still not releasing any official content, the much-delayed Young Sheldon season 7 gets sneak peeks thanks to set photos, including the latest image shared by Revord online showing a scene with Missy and George.
As seen in it, the father and daughter duo is having a conversation at home, with Sheldon’s twin seems to discuss important matters with her father.

Will Young Sheldon Season 7 Redeem Missy?
Despite its popularity, Young Sheldon is slated to end with season 7, and it won’t even get a full 22-episode season. Instead, The Big Bang Theory spin-off will only have 14 episodes to wrap up its run. Considering the sheer number of plots it needs to tackle for a satisfying send-off for the Coopers, the writers and creatives behind the series have their work cut out for them. One of the important storylines that needs to be addressed is Missy’s rebellion. Granted that it started late in the show’s run, it had to get a proper resolution to cap off the character’s arc.

However, just because it needs to be done doesn’t mean it will be. Young Sheldon is already pressed for time, and CBS will be forced to either rush or drop plots altogether to prioritize another narrative. Since the spin-off has sidelined Missy for most of its run, there may not be enough motivation to devote adequate time to close her arc. At the very least, however, it seems Young Sheldon season 7 is giving her and George some more time together, which is integral, considering that he is slowly approaching his death date.
Arguably, Young Sheldon could have lasted until season 8. This way, the show could have more time to lay out the foundations for a satisfying send-off to the Coopers. There wasn’t any rush to wrap up The Big Bang Theory prequel, especially since it seems to still be peaking in popularity. Had they decided to order one more year, then the family comedy wouldn’t have to deal with half of the issues that it currently faces.
