BREAKING NEWS –Why Side Character Issues in Tracker Matter and How to Resolve Them

The show has been giving them a false impression all along.

Tracker ’s first season officially wrapped it all up several weeks ago, setting things for the series’ exciting future as it proved its stunning success by surpassing CBS’ police procedural giant NCIS and becoming the network’s most-watched show of the season.

The season 1 finale left fans pretty reassured that Colter Shaw’s focus on his work is already in the past and it’s finally time to dive deeper into the character’s biggest family mystery that may unveil dark sides of his beloved ones.

However, with more of Colter’s background coming to light, Tracker also risks completely overlooking its other characters that have been misrepresented all this time.

Tracker initially follows Colter Shaw, a private investigator who embarks on cross-country trips to give a helping hand to those who want their own mysteries to be uncovered, but it’s actually not him who does all the work.

The series also features Colter’s unofficial backup team that helps him stay afloat in his weird, yet lucrative job, having repeatedly introduced Teddi and Velma Bruin, who provide the lead character with cases to investigate, and Bobby Exley, Colter’s tech helper.

Though all three are pretty frequent guests on the show, they don’t seem to appear for more than just several seconds, except for Bobby who only once got a bit more screen time when his friend went missing. Overall, the characters’ background stories are a complete mystery, as their presence seems to be indispensable only when Colter needs their help.

Tracker season 2 thus has chances to finally make it up to Teddi, Velma and Bobby by turning the viewers’ attention to their storylines at least partially, given that the show’s next installment will surely focus on Colter’s family drama.
