Cowell was in Los Angeles, gearing up for the new series of Britain’s Got Talent, when the reality of the coronavirus outbreak began to set in. He recalled feeling an overwhelming sense of panic and anxiety as news of the virus spread. “The constant worry about contracting the virus sparked a significant mental health battle for me,” he explained. “I’ve suffered from depression over the years, but this felt different.
