Grey’s Anatomy season 20 premieres March 14
The medical drama about a Seattle teaching hospital concluded season 19 on May 18, 2023.

However, the wait for season 20 was delayed mostly by the WGA writers’ and SAG-AFTRA actors’ strikes like many other shows. Meanwhile, after almost a year of waiting, Grey’s Anatomy is back this week.
After more than 400 episodes, the story of Grey’s Anatomy has centered on Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and her career.

As fans know, Pompeo is leaving the show, but the good news is that she will return to Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital after her move to Boston.

Moreover, she is set to appear in four episodes of the ABC medical drama. However, the bad news is that fans will only get to watch 10 episodes in season 20 due to the strikes.

Returning and new cast members for season 20
Grey’s Anatomy fans may recall that Jessica Capshaw, who played Dr. Arizona Robbins in seasons 5 to 14, is returning to the show.

She left in 2018, when her character left to move to New York to reunite with her ex-wife, Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and her daughter. However, it is unclear how the popular pediatric and fetal surgeon will return to the story in season 20.

Moreover, Alex Landi returns in the new season as Dr. Nico Kim, the former partner of Dr. Levi Schmitt (Jake Borellis.

As for additions to the cast, Natalie Morales (White Collar) and Freddy Miyares (DMZ) will star in season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy.
