Explore the Reagan Family’s Sunday Dinners from a Whole New Perspective

Inspired by the Reagan family’s tradition of Sunday family dinners, BLUE BLOODS is partnering with Chef Paul Wahlberg to provide fans with a tasty dinner every week based on that Friday’s episode.

“Chef Paul invites everyone to join the BLUE BLOODS and Wahlburgers’ weekly tradition: Bringing family and friends together for dinner by participating in this one-of-a-kind culinary journey,” CBS said in an announcement. “Whether a longtime fan of the show or someone who simply loves an excellent family meal, this BLUE BLOODS recipe series allows family and friends to honor the Reagan family’s legacy and create new traditions with their own loved ones.”

The recipes will release onto the official BLUE BLOODS YouTube channel each week with a detailed explanation from Chef Paul. Chef Paul is the brother of Donnie Wahlberg, who stars as Danny Reagan on the show.

“As a chef and someone who values the importance of family traditions, it’s an incredible honor to celebrate the legacy of Blue Bloods with some Wahlburgers magic,” Chef Paul said about the collaboration. “The Reagan family’s dinners have always been about more than just the food — they’re about the connections we make around the dinner table in the same way my own family did. I’m thrilled to share these recipes with our fans, and I hope they inspire families and friends to come together, just like the Reagans do every week.”

To the disappointment of millions, CBS announced it was canceling BLUE BLOODS in the fall of 2023 despite the show continuing to pull impressive viewership numbers. The actors and fans alike campaigned to change the studio’s mind but were ultimately unsuccessful. While the eight episodes that air this fall will end the series, those working on the show have hinted that fans of the show may see more of the Reagan family in the future.

Movieguide® previously reported:

BLUE BLOODS actor Donnie Wahlberg believes the show will continue — or at least in a new iteration.

“We filmed the apparent last season of BLUE BLOODS, and it’ll air starting in October. Maybe there’ll be something else after that. I don’t know anything officially yet, but there’s things in the works. So maybe something awesome will happen,” Walhberg said in a recent video, adding, “You know I’ll do things after BLUE BLOODS no matter what.”

BLUE BLOODS finished filming in July. The “apparent” final episodes will air Fridays, October through December.

Screen Rant assessed that a spinoff of the show could be very successful, but it’d have to maintain its predecessor’s “focus on family values” because that’s a key reason why the show is so popular. Several BLUE BLOODS episodes have won Movieguide® Teddy Bear Awards® for such values.
