Jensen Ackles Returns to Tracker Season 2 When Colter Goes Missing in New Sneak Peek
Colter Shaw’s job is full of risks, and although he’s proven capable of handling most challenges, some cases spiral out of control. Whether it’s the client in danger or Colter himself, sometimes he needs help from someone he trusts. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 2, titled “Ontological Shock,” Colter (Justin Hartley) disappears while investigating a case, prompting Reenie to call in Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles) to find him. CBS has released sneak peeks into the episode, revealing tense moments with Colter’s client, followed by his team’s panic when they realize he’s missing.
Colter’s Suspicion Grows as His Client Hides Key Details
The first sneak peek shows Colter confronting his client about her lack of transparency. Trust is crucial in his line of work, and Colter senses she is holding back.
“If I take this job, I need all the information, and I need to be able to trust all the information I’m given. What are you not telling me?” Colter presses. His suspicion is confirmed when the client reluctantly admits she had withheld key information. Still, she tries to appeal to Colter’s empathy.
“He’s a good man, my father. Can you help me find him?” she pleads. After a moment of hesitation, Colter reassures her: “I’ll do everything I can.”
Russell Shaw Joins the Hunt After Colter Disappears
In the second sneak peek, Colter’s team is frantic as they struggle to track him down. Bobby expresses frustration at the lack of digital clues:
“Colter’s been gone for twelve hours now, and there’s zero digital footprint. Usually, I can grab a signal from somewhere, but now I can’t find anything,” Bobby says, clearly frustrated.
Velma shares that a deputy located Colter’s truck, but there was no sign of him nearby. As concern mounts, Reenie knows something is seriously wrong. Despite the others advising her to remain calm, Reenie decides to call someone who can help.
“There’s something wrong, and I know who can find him,” Reenie declares, dialing Colter’s brother—Russell Shaw.
Behind-the-Scenes Teases: Russell and Colter Escape Trouble
The third sneak peek is a behind-the-scenes featurette that offers a glimpse of the Shaw brothers in action. It begins with a clip of Colter shouting: “Russell!” as his brother arrives just in time.
“Russell’s gonna get you out of this pickle,” Russell jokes as the brothers work together to escape a dangerous situation. The featurette teases the duo’s dynamic as they dive deeper into the investigation. They not only confront the challenges of their case, but also explore unresolved family secrets that continue to haunt them.
Amid their investigation, Russell introduces a twist, noting that what they’re dealing with might involve UFOs—or, as he corrects Colter, “UAPs” (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena). The sneak peek hints that their family’s past could be more tangled with these strange occurrences than they initially thought.
