Will ‘Tracker’ Season 2 Include ‘This Is Us’ Stars? Justin Hartley Hints At What’s to Come
Tracker Season 2 is off to a great start, with over 8 million viewers tuning in for the premiere to catch This Is Us alum Justin Hartley in action. But fans of both shows are wondering—will Hartley’s former This Is Us co-stars make an appearance in his new series? The possibility of seeing the beloved Big Three or other familiar faces in Tracker has sparked excitement among viewers.
Could a This Is Us Reunion Happen on Tracker?
Justin Hartley, known for his role as Kevin Pearson in This Is Us, now has a hit series with Tracker—but many fans still miss the dynamic cast from his previous show. During an appearance on Tommy DiDario’s podcast I’ve Never Said This Before, Hartley addressed the possibility of a reunion with his former co-stars on Tracker. His response? A tantalizing hint:
“I think we will,” Hartley teased when asked if familiar faces from This Is Us might join him on Tracker.
He also reflected on his time on This Is Us, saying: “That project was remarkable to be a part of. We’ve all talked about [reuniting]. I don’t know if there are plans to reboot it—I haven’t been involved yet—which is a whole other conversation.”
Despite the uncertainty around a This Is Us reboot, Hartley emphasized his close relationship with his former castmates: “I still keep in touch with all of those guys. They are all so great, they will be lifelong friends of mine. I love them all.”
Jon Huertas Could Return—But Behind the Camera
There’s already precedent for a This Is Us connection on Tracker. Jon Huertas, who played Miguel on This Is Us, directed an episode of Tracker Season 1 and has expressed interest in continuing his behind-the-scenes role.
“Justin has talked to me about being in front of the camera on the show at some point. But, we’ll see,” Huertas said, hinting that he might appear on-screen. However, with his busy directing schedule, it may be more realistic for him to return as a director rather than as an actor.
There’s Plenty of Time for Cameos in Tracker Season 2
Since CBS has given Tracker a full-season order of 20-24 episodes, the extended season provides plenty of opportunities for This Is Us alumni to make guest appearances. Whether Jon Huertas steps in front of the camera or other former co-stars join Hartley, fans have reason to hope for exciting crossovers as the season unfolds.
With the Shaw brothers’ storyline heating up and plenty of mysteries to explore, Tracker has room for both action and emotional moments—making it the perfect setting for a nostalgic reunion. Fans will just have to stay tuned to see who shows up next.
