Get ready to swoon, Virgin River fans!
The first official teaser trailer for Season 6 has just dropped, and it’s as dreamy as you’d expect.
Netflix unveiled a brief preview of the upcoming season, showcasing plenty of romance for Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) as they approach their eagerly awaited wedding.
“From the moment I set eyes on you, I knew you were special,” Jack tells Mel as he kneels before her. “As I’ve fallen deeper in love with you, that feeling’s only grown stronger. I want to spend the rest of my life making you the happiest woman in the world.”
But it’s not all roses for the residents of Virgin River. Alongside resolving a major cliffhanger, Season 6 will delve into Mel’s backstory, particularly her search for her biological father, Everett Reid.
Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith shared with Deadline that this season will uncover “who Everett Reid is, his backstory, his connection to Virgin River when he met Mel’s mother, and what that relationship looks like today.”
Additionally, this season will set the stage for a prequel series centered on Everett’s love story with Mel’s mom.
“Set against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this installment promises fresh twists, escalating love triangles, wedding drama, and secrets from Mel’s father’s past, transporting us to the enchanting world of Virgin River in the 1970s,” the official logline teases.
Mark your calendars—Season 6 of Virgin River premieres on Netflix on Thursday, December 19!
