Despite being a sitcom that takes place primarily in one location, the cast of Ghosts has a massive ensemble of guest stars and recurring characters. However, there’s no telling exactly who will stick around for season 5 outside the main cast, which has been consistent since season 1. Rose McIver will certainly be back as the plucky Sam who can see the ghosts, while Utkarsh Ambudkar will return as her nerdy husband, Jay, who can’t see the ghosts but is very supportive. The main ghosts will also be back, including Rebecca Wisocky as Sam’s great-great-great-great-aunt, Hetty, who once owned the mansion.
Furthermore, it’s all but certain that Devan Chandler Long will reprise his role as the brash but sensitive viking ghost, Thor, while Sheila Carrasco will be back as Susan “Flower” Montero, the hippie ghost. Meanwhile, Román Zaragoza will reprise his role as Lenape ghost, Sasappis, Brandon Scott Jones as the Revolutionary War soldier, Captain Isaac Higgintoot, and Danielle Pinnock as the prohibition-era singer, Alberta. Finally, Asher Grodman will be back as the pantsless former party bro, Trevor, while Richie Moriarty will return to his role as the lovable and naive Pete.
Ghosts Season 5 Story Details
It’s difficult to predict exactly what will happen in Ghosts season 5 because the show typically follows the classic sitcom bottle-episode formula. Each installment features a self-contained story that usually doesn’t connect from week to week. However, Ghosts has been known to throw a few twists as well, and that is expected to carry over between seasons 4 and 5. The end of season 3 saw Isaac get snatched by Puritan ghost, Patience, but that storyline likely won’t last into season 5.
Though it’s tough to say exactly what will happen, it’s guaranteed that Ghosts season 5 will feature Sam, Jay, and their ghostly pals dealing with the trials and tribulations of life and the afterlife as well. Several ghosts haven’t revealed their powers yet, and it’s certain that Sam and Jay’s dream of running a successful B&B will hit more snags along the way. There’s also the chance that new ghosts will join the fun in future seasons as well.
