A new Young Sheldon season 7 pictures confirm that George will still be alive to participate in the import and export of Sheldon.
George will still be alive when Sheldon makes an import statement about his future, as confirmed by a Young Sheldon, season 7 set image. Despite Young Sheldover retelling George’s cheating scandal story from The Big Bang Theory, the prequel will stick to the established story when it comes to the character’s future fate. Previously revealed by the creatives behind the premier family comedy-drama, the Cooper patriarch will meet his parents before the show wraps up.
Before that, however, George was revealed to be involved in Sheldon’s search for his post-graduate school in a new Young Sheldon season 7 set image from co-executive producer, Steve Molaro. Check out the image below:
In the picture, George and Mary are wearing MIT swag items while presumably speaking with a recruiter from the school. The Big Bang Theory already revealed, however, that Sheldon will turn down the institute and go to Caltech instead.
How George Impacts Sheldon’s Big Bang Theory Life Despite Being Dead
Sheldon has always been clear that he wants to go to Caltech, so it’s curious why George and Mary are even studying at other schools. Perhaps, the pair wants to make sure that their son is considering all of his options before committing to his choice. That is said, it’s curious if the Cooper patriarch impacts his ultimate decision. George accompanied Sheldon to Caltech in the Youth Sheldon, season 3, “Pasadea,” where the boy genius attended Dr. Stephen Hawing’s lecture. The child was brought up before the boy Genius left for German in the Young Sheldoon season 6 season.
It would be obvious if Sheldon immediately revealed that part of his decision to go to Caltech despite several invitations from other schools is because the place has a special memory. Jim Parson is confirmed to appear as adult Sheldon, which means that the Young Sheldon will feature a flashforward to a post-The Big Bang Theory world. This would be the perfect opportunity to mame this revelation, especially if Sheldon also reminisces on George’s impact on his wife, Amy.
It’s great that George will be involved in this process, but it also raises questions about the timing of his upcoming death. After Georgie and Mandy’s upcoming wedding, which doesn’t seem like it will involve Sheldon, Young Sheldon will only have 7 episodes left before it fully wraps up. That leaves The Big Bang Theory prequel limited time to execute arguably the biggest Cooper tragedy.
