‘Ghosts’ Star Rose McIver Makes Directing Debut in Season 4 Episode

“Ghosts” star Rose McIver is set to make her directing debut this season, as announced during the show’s panel at New York Comic Con. Alongside McIver, the panel featured cast members Brandon Scott Jones, Sheila Carrasco, and Román Zaragoza, with “CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil moderating.

The panel also revealed that Sakina Jaffrey (“Billions,” “The Mindy Project,” “House of Cards”) and Bernard White (“The Matrix,” “Silicon Valley,” “Kidding”) will portray Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) parents, Champa and Mahesh, in a special one-hour Christmas episode airing on Thursday, December 19.

The two-part Christmas special, titled “A Very Arondekar Christmas Part 1” and “Part 2,” features the tagline: “A leaky water heater mishap threatens to ruin holiday plans as Sam and Jay prepare to host Jay’s hard-to-please dad Mahesh (Bernard White), difficult-to-impress mom Champa (Sakina Jaffrey), and sister Bela (Punam Patel).”

The fourth season of “Ghosts” premiered on October 17, following McIver and Ambudkar’s characters, a couple who inherit a rundown mansion in upstate New York and aim to turn it into a bed and breakfast. After McIver’s character nearly dies, she gains the ability to see the ghosts haunting the mansion.

The series also stars Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky, and Devan Chandler Long.

“Ghosts” is executive produced by Joe Port, Joe Wiseman, Richie Keen, and a talented team including Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, and Alison Owen (Monumental Television), as well as Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios). The show is produced by CBS Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
