Sheila Carrasco Talks ‘Ghosts’ Romance: “The Honeymoon Phase Is Over” for Flower & Thor [Exclusive]

As fans of Ghosts know, the series champions progressive relationships, and one of its standout characters in that regard is Flower, played by Sheila Carrasco. Even in the afterlife, Flower embraces unconventional relationships, including throuples and creative connections. In Season 4, viewers will get to see her relationship with Thor (Devan Chandler Long) evolve further. To offer fans a sneak peek, Carrasco sat down with Collider‘s Perri Nemiroff at New York Comic Con to discuss what’s in store for the couple in the upcoming season.

Carrasco revealed that, in Season 4, Flower and Thor will face new challenges that will test their bond. “They’re both going to go through a lot,” she explained. “They’ll really have to support each other through this season.” Nemiroff also mentioned that Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) was recently written out of the throuple in the episode “Sam’s Dad.” While Carrasco praised Nancy as “a cool throuplemate,” co-star Rose McIver added, “I feel like Nancy’s good, though. Nancy takes care of Nancy.”

When it comes to Flower and Thor’s relationship, Carrasco shared, “Flower and Thorfinn have definitely been through a lot already. The honeymoon phase is kind of over. They’ve gone through the kinds of things that any couple faces—she fell into a well and disappeared, they had a throuple with a cholera ghost. Now, they’re asking, ‘What’s next? How can we support each other?’ This season, they’ll dig into some deep, unresolved trauma from their pasts. They’ll really be there for each other as they go through it.”
