Best News Ever! ‘Virgin River’ Is Officially Returning for Season 7

Get ready, Virgin River fans—Netflix has officially renewed your favorite small-town drama for a seventh season!

Yep, just when you thought you’d finally recovered from the season 5 part 2 finale, the show is back to reel you in for another round. The cast announced the news on social media saying, “Good news, Virgin River is confirmed to come back for Season 7! More love, drama, and small-town charm coming your way. You’re very welcome.”

And thanks are definitely in order! Since the big announcement comes ahead of the season 6 premiere of the romance series starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson—you can rest (and watch) assured that the show isn’t going anywhere.

With its swoon-worthy romance, heart-tugging drama, and secrets that seem to pour out of the woods around every corner, this latest renewal means there’s plenty more to come. In fact, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith tells Tudum by Netflix that, “I think we’ve only just begun to see Mel and Jack function as a married couple, which is exciting.” Smith adds that season 7 will, “Explore the honeymoon phase for them as they’re building their lives on the farm, which can come with its own obstacles.”

While there’s no word on when season 7 will come out, viewers still have plenty of newness on the horizon! Season 6 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 19, 2024, with all ten episodes available to watch.

Another thing we know for certain: Followers of Jack, Mel, and all the other charming faces of Virgin River can look forward to a whole lot of love and an abundance of unexpected twists in the tumultuous (but oh-so-delightful) town.
