ABC may still be keeping mum about the Station 19 cancellation, and there’s no word yet on a potential Crisis One spinoff, but if the network were to rethink its decision, showrunners Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack are “100%” ready to jump back in.
In a recent interview with TVLine, Paige and Clack, who took the Grey’s Anatomy offshoot to new creative heights during their season-long run, expressed their enthusiasm about the possibility of the series returning to the airwaves. “Bring it on,” Clack said, with Paige echoing her sentiment, confirming, “We’re 100% on board.”
If the powers-that-be at ABC decide to reverse the cancellation and offer Station 19 a second shot, fans could expect the same passion, energy, and creativity that made the show’s final season one of its strongest.
A Fitting Send-Off, But No Goodbyes Yet
If One Last Time turns out to be the end for Paige and Clack’s tenure on Station 19, they can rest assured that their contributions made a lasting impact. “I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Zoanne,” Paige shared. “I’m really proud of what we accomplished creatively, and I’m really proud of what we did with the show culturally.”
Both showrunners agreed that the positive atmosphere on set made their time working on Station 19 especially rewarding. “The set was really healthy,” Paige explained. “I think people felt seen and heard and felt an ownership. They felt a part of the show. That’s every bit as important as the product.”
Clack echoed his thoughts, saying, “We had a very powerful, amazing culture on the set, and it was just a joy to work with these actors, writers, and crew. We’re going to miss it terribly.”
Though the show may have come to a close for now, there’s a palpable sense of hope that Station 19 could one day return, bringing back the dynamic chemistry of Paige and Clack’s creative vision and a beloved cast of characters.
