Jonathan Bailey may be a Sharma now, but he will always make time for the Bridgerton clan.
In a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the Emmy nominee reaffirmed he would appear in the fourth installment of Netflix‘s smash-hit period dramedy Bridgerton as the ever-charming viscount.
“Gonna reunite with the family next week,” he quipped.
Production on the fourth season is underway, with Season 4’s storyline following free-spirited Benedict (Luke Thompson) and his love story with the mysterious and enchanting Lady in Silver, maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The adaptation will draw from Julia Quinn’s third novel in the Bridgerton series, An Offer from a Gentleman.
When asked by host Meyers if the swoon-worthy Regency series ever gets old, Bailey answered: “No. Well, it changes every year — every two years. What an amazing thing to be a part of. There’s gonna be lots of space for new people to come in, and Luke and Yerin are gonna be great. So I’ll always pop back and say hello.”
The actor’s reply echoes his previous comments about Season 3 and 4: “I’m gonna be there to support the youngsters as we go,” Bailey said during an August appearance on Good Morning America. Though his character’s enemies-to-lovers arc alongside Simone Ashley’s Kate Sharma wrapped in Season 2, Bailey and Ashley have been feal to the show, their characters shown in perpetual domestic bliss and often serving as guiding hands to the wayward members of the Bridgerton family still searching for love.
In addition to the forthcoming season, Bailey will soon be seen as Fiyero in Jon M. Chu’s Wicked, due in theaters Nov. 22, opposite stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Next up, the Fellow Travelers star will appear in Jurassic World: Rebirth, set for release July 2, 2025, alongside Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali.
