Vanessa Lachey and her husband Nick have shared a tear-jerking tribute to their son on his seventh birthday as they explain why he is their “Christmas miracle”.
Vanessa Lachey received a Christmas present money couldn’t buy seven years ago.
The NCIS star took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to pay a heartwarming tribute to her youngest child Phoenix on his seventh birthday.
Vanessa, who co-hosts Love Is Blind with her husband Nick, shared a snap of her little one posing next to an extravagantly decorated gingerbread house, that featured red, white and green icing.
Phoenix beamed a warm smile for the camera as he posed in a set of cosy festive pajamas.
His older siblings, Brooklyn, eight, and Camden, 11, could also be seen perching in the background, also wearing matching festive loungewear.
Along with the picture, Vanessa wrote an equally sweet caption.
“And just like that, our Littlest Lachey is 7.” she began.
“He’s our miracle baby that we never take for granted. The missing piece to our family puzzle, the one who makes us whole… the cherry on top! Happy Birthday to our Phoenix Robert!
She concluded her message adding: “This gingerbread house tradition is our favorite! @thesolvangbakery always makes it extra special! This one had a gingerbread kid with a party hat and cake with candle!!! Thank You for the extra TLC, we Love you!”
Fans flooded the comment section wishing Phoenix a Happy Birthday.
For Phoenix’s birthday shoutout last year, Vanessa explained why her littlest Lachey was a miracle
She explained the remarkable circumstances surrounding her third baby’s premature arrival in an Instagram post, where she revealed that she had been in the hospital for 10 days prior to his birth because her water broke 11 weeks early.
Vanessa, who plays Jane Tennant in NCIS: Hawaii, recalled how she and her medical team were doing everything they could to keep him in her womb for a few more weeks.
However, baby Phoenix appeared to have different plans, and arrived on Christmas Eve 2016.
