‘NCIS: LA’ Creator Shares Exciting News About Original Cast Member’s Comeback

NCIS: Los Angeles boss R Scott Gemill has teased the return of fan-favourite original cast member Linda Hunt in upcoming episodes.NCIS: LA boss shares new update on original cast member's return

Hunt’s character Hetty has only made sporadic appearances recently, popping in to wish Eric and Nell well and updating the team on the situation in Syria. She was actually meant to make a proper return for season 13, but it’s still in the works due to pandemic restrictions and the actress being 77 years old.

Speaking to TVLine, Gemill explained how he wants to work Hetty into the plot, using the wedding between Callen and Anna as an excuse for her comeback.NCIS LA Will Reveal More of Hetty's Backstory on Season 11

“[Callen] realises he has unfinished business, and wouldn’t want to get married without Hetty present. The plan is to go and rescue her at some point, find out what she’s gotten herself into,” Gemill said.

“We’re just trying to figure out schedule-wise when we can pull that off. That was the plan last year, too, but it didn’t come to fruition. We had a bit of a [COVID variant] surge, but things seem to be settling down a bit. Hopefully, nothing new comes along and we can make the happen this year.”

The long-running show will be returning for its 14th season at the beginning of October, so we won’t have too long to wait and see if the show starts sowing the seeds for Hetty’s return on-screen.NCIS LA: What is the real reason behind Linda Hunt's exit? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk
