The midseason premiere episode for January 8 is titled “A Favor,” and it will see Cruz confront some decisions from his past and their potential consequences. In November’s midseason finale episode, Cruz received an unprecedented gift in his locker as he found a bullet in his locker. The message was left by Flaco’s cousin, Junior (Richard Cabral), who was out of prison. The firefighter left Flaco, the gang leader, to die in a fire in Season 1. By the episode’s end, Junior had tracked him down and wanted to speak with Cruz. Given the look on Cruz’s face in the newly released images, that meeting is not exactly going well.
‘One Chicago’ Crossover’s Return
In the world of television with franchises such as One Chicago, it is essential, occasionally, to employ crossovers within the franchise to tie it in altogether. The One Chicago franchise hasn’t enjoyed a crossover in five years, but that will change very soon. Anastasia Puglisi, Wolf Entertainment Executive Vice President and co-executive producer of One Chicago explained the plan, saying:
“Putting together what is essentially a three-hour action movie is an incredibly ambitious task requiring complete coordination across our writers, casts, crews, and producers, along with help from the city of Chicago. We’re thrilled to have the best talent in every department to meet this challenge, reinforce the #OneChicago brand, and provide our fans with a unique and compelling viewing experience.”
Chicago Fire and the other One Chicago shows will return on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The shows return three weeks before the crossover event. Catch up with all of them on Peacock.
