Fran Drescher, 67, Wears Bold Bustier Gown to 2025 Golden Globes and It Was Totally Giving The Nanny

The flashy girl from Flushing has done it again!

Fran Drescher stunned in head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday, Jan. 5.

The Nanny star and co-creator donned an elegant floor-length black Dolce & Gabbana dress with a heart-shaped bustier, completing the look with black open-toed heels and a matching shawl. Drescher, 67, tied everything together with a classic updo, sparkling earrings and bold red lips and nails.

Drescher attended the event with her Nanny co-creator and ex husband Peter Marc Jacobson, 67, sharing a snap of the pair to Instagram while on their way to the star-studded affair.

Drescher has long been recognized as a style icon, bringing her signature flair to the character of Fran Fine in the sitcom The Nanny, which ran on CBS from 1993 -1999.

While many of her outfits were considered unconventional at the time, there has since been a resurgence and appreciation for her looks, which have spawned numerous articles, fan accounts and even a full exhibit in France.

In 2021, Drescher, a vocal supporter of workers’ rights, was elected president of SAG-AFTRA — the industry’s largest union for actors and onscreen talent. She was re-elected in 2023, leading the union through the tumultuous actor’s strike that same year.

“This is a very big deal and it weighed heavy on us,” Descher said in a speech directed at studio executives. “At some point, you have to say no, we’re not going to take it anymore. The jig is up … We demand respect. You share the wealth, because you cannot exist without us.”

Drescher is currently set to appear in the Josh Safdie-directed table tennis movie Marty Supreme, in which she will play Timothée Chalamet’s mother. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Tyler, the Creator.
