Although you might be gutted that there are no new Bridgerton episodes in the near future you can still get your fix of the ‘Ton and the Regency era with this candlelit concert. Following on from the successful candlelit Coldplay, Abba, Halloween string concerts at Llandaff Cathedral, now a candlelight Bridgerton concert is coming to a hidden landmark in Cardiff.
Taking place at the gorgeous Cornerstone, which although is in the city centre on Charles Street, is tucked away and might not be known by many, you can enjoy your favourite Bridgerton songs performed by talented musicians in candlelight. The concert will last for 60 minutes and while no date or time has been announced for the concert yet, we will keep this article updated once it has.
You can sign up and join the waiting list here, for exclusive access to pre-sale tickets. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Thursday, November 14 at 11am.
When the full details of the concert are released we will update them here. Find out about the latest events in Wales by signing up to our What’s On newsletter here.
Those attending should be eight years or older and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The venue is wheelchair accessible and there is no strict dress code for this special occasion, the event encourages you to dress in your finest Bridgerton-inspired style.
Cornerstone is a 160-year-old Grade II listed building, originally opening in 1855 as a Ebenezer Chapel, the first Neo gothic church in Cardiff. Now a conference, arts centre and community hub since 2016, the venue has been been a Cardiff landmark for over 160 years and was renovated in 2015 and 2016 and now has a cafe, communal spaces for local events.
While the setlist has not been announced it is sure to cover songs on that appear on the Bridgerton soundtrack including All I Want, Give Me Everything, Wrecking Ball, Bad Guy, Wildest Dreams and more. The Netflix series, which aired its third instalment earlier in 2024 is famed for taking contemporary pop songs and reinventing them with a orchestral, Regency flair.
Recently Ben Miller, who played Lord Featherington, has hinted at a dramatic return to the series. The patriarch of the Featherington family died back in season one, but he has hinted he could make a return.
Loved for his role in Death In Paradise, Ben is also known to Bridgerton fans for playing the father of Prudence (played by Bessie Carter), Philippa (Harriet Cains), and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan). Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Ben gave viewers a glimmer of hope, saying: “I never saw him die – and that’s the crucial bit on TV. We didn’t see him die. We saw him with some ruffians and then he just wasn’t there,” leading host Susanna Reid to suggest: “Anything is possible!”
