Selleck said, “Jesse is a great character, and it would be fascinating to find out where he is quite a few years later. But I need to regroup; I don’t know what’s next, but assuming the phone doesn’t stop ringing, I’m going to keep working.” Of course, Selleck has other ideas of thing to occupy his time as well.

“During the interview, it was noted that Selleck had written a 2024 memoir, You Never Know, detailing his childhood and work on Magnum, P.I. It was then suggested that Selleck could write a memoir discussing what it was like working on Blue Bloods and the Jesse Stone films.” TV Show Ace noted.

Selleck says, “It was really hard. It took four years and I’m not computer literate, so I wrote it with my pen and legal pad. I can’t wait to do the audio.” Selleck also noted, “One of the first questions I always get from people I meet is, ‘Are we going to see another Jesse Stone?’ Yes, Blue Bloods comes up and Magnum and even Friends, but first, it’s, ‘please do another Jesse Stone!’”
