Alexandra Breckenridge of Virgin River has reunited with her former co-stars from This Is Us during a special podcast appearance.
This week, Breckenridge’s episode of the deep-dive podcast That Was Us—hosted by Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, and Chris Sullivan—was released, featuring discussions about the show’s 15th episode, “Jack Pearson’s Son.”
In this episode, Breckenridge reprises her role as Kevin’s eventual wife, Sophie Inman, who continues to appear until the end of season six. Fans are hopeful she’ll return for more podcast episodes in the future, potentially joining the studio in person rather than via video call.
That Was Us was announced in April, with the hosts sharing, “The Pearson story may have ended after six seasons, but our stories continue on. For six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays brought us together with tissues in one hand and pantry wine in the other. Why? Because we see ourselves in the fabric of their lives. We may or may not have cried at least once every episode, but let’s just say our tears served as emotional catharsis…”
The podcast has also featured Jon Huertas, who played Miguel Rivas, and Susan Kelechi Watson, who portrayed Beth Pearson, with an episode featuring Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jack Pearson, coming soon.
In other news, Virgin River season six is on the way, with post-production having begun last month. The upcoming ten episodes will delve into the revelation that Everett is Mel’s biological father, following a time jump from the festive specials, and will focus significantly on their relationship and Everett’s ties to the town.
