General Hospital‘s Finola Hughes has not only created a legacy character with Anna, but she also gets to showcase her incredible acting. This week, she hit the nail on the head.
Anna’s Breakdown
Anna (Finola Hughes) has been held prisoner, drugged, and mentally tortured for months. Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) dumped her somewhere in France. She was so frantic that the police brought her to a mental facility. When Felicia (Kristina Wagner), Mac (John J York), and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) were finally able to see her, she was out of control. Her story sounded unbelievable, and her claim that Faison (Anders Hove) was alive seemed preposterous. Poor Anna.
What many fans took away from these scenes was Hughes’ acting ability. Her portrayal of tortured, desperate, and delirious was perfection.
Hughes certainly proved why the Anna character has been loved for decades. Viewers were singing her praises.
