When John Ritter died unexpectedly on Sept. 11, 2003, he left behind a family of four children. His widow, Amy Yasbeck, has said that all of the kids are hilarious just like their famous father, which helps keep his legacy alive. But perhaps the most famous Ritter child and the one who looks the most like his dad is Jason Ritter.
He recently shared a video on TikTok, doing an impression of his father based on a very odd fan request. The request asked Jason to “do the creep face your dad used to do chasing the girls around the apartment on Three’s Company. … That was always my favorite thing.”

He went on to do the face his father made playing Jack Tripper on Three’s Company for eight seasons. Fans flocked to the comments to tell Jason just how perfect the impersonation was and how much he looked like his dad. Fans were seemingly emotional as it brought up a lot of memories of watching the nostalgic show.
While John was mainly known for Three’s Company, during his time of death he was working on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules, also starring Katey Sagal and Kaley Cuoco. Jason was inspired by his father to form an acting career of his own and has starred in shows such as Joan of Arcadia and Parenthood.
He shared, “I have to say, he was generally a very supportive and proud dad. He would have been proud of everything. But I do think there was an element in the stuff that I was doing on Kevin (Probably) Saves the World where I felt like this is fully me there. I’m not trying to hide away some of the parts that I think might remind people of my dad. There was a lot of that performance that felt like I was almost doing an homage to him or something. I tried to make my own way, do my own thing and not be compared, but he was always so fun.”
