Beth & Rip’s Yellowstone Spinoff Release Date Confirms A Positive Trend For Taylor Sheridan’s Shows

Beth and Rip’s Yellowstone spinoff has a release window, and it confirms a positive trend for Taylor Sheridan’s TV franchise. Ahead of Yellowstone season 5’s finale, Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser agreed to reprise Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in a Yellowstone spinoff. Beth and Rip’s stories will therefore build on Yellowstone‘s ending, wherein Beth’s brother, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), sells the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch to the Broken Rock Tribe after John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) death.

At the end of Yellowstone, Beth and Rip move to a ranch in Dillon, Montana. The couple appears to be launching a new venture, which could serve as the basis for their show. While few details about Dutton and Wheeler’s next chapter are available, Paramount+ has revealed when we can expect the couple’s return. Beth and Rip will return to the small screen sooner than audiences may have expected, confirming a positive trend for those tuning into Taylor Sheridan’s TV shows.

Beth & Rip’s Yellowstone Spinoff Will Premiere Just 1 Year After Yellowstone Season 5

Beth And Rip Will Return In Their Spinoff In November 2025

According to the Q1 2025 earnings call transcript from Paramount Global, the parent company of Paramount+, Beth and Rip’s Yellowstone spinoff will premiere in November 2025. That’s exciting news for the Yellowstone franchise, as it means fans will only have to wait a year after Yellowstone ended to find out what happens next for Beth and Rip. Creating a new show centered around the couple was doubtlessly no small feat, and yet Taylor Sheridan’s production team accomplished it in just a year.

Beth and Rip’s story will seamlessly continue.

Since only a year has passed, Beth and Rip can essentially pick up where their stories left off in Yellowstone. It’s promising news for the characters, especially Carter (Finn Little), who’s a young adult when he moves to Beth and Rip’s new ranch in Dillon. If production had stalled, Little could have gotten too old to play the role Sheridan intended for Carter, with Carter’s growth spurt changing his Yellowstone story again. Conversely, Beth and Rip’s story will seamlessly continue.

Yellowstone 5 Questions We Still Have After Season 5’s Finale

Some of the urgency for getting the new show off the ground may be linked to the idea that Beth and Rip’s continuation will essentially be Yellowstone season 6, with the couple taking over for John Dutton (Kevin Costner) as the primary protagonists of the Yellowstone franchise. In that case, prioritizing getting Beth and Rip’s show off the ground makes sense. For various reasons, other Taylor Sheridan-led projects, like Yellowstone’s 6666 spinoff, have been in the works for years.

While Yellowstone’s mastermind has a lot of irons in the fire, that isn’t affecting Taylor Sheridan’s ability to turn around projects quickly. In fact, Beth and Rip’s spinoff timeline follows a trend for Sheridan producing new seasons for his shows at a rate of about one season per year, similar to standard network TV. Sheridan also has Landman season 2 coming out in November 2025 alongside Beth and Rip’s show.

Debuting alongside the final season of Yellowstone, Landman season 1 premiered in November 2024 and returns for its sophomore season one year later. By turning around continuations of both series in less than a year, November 2025 will be an exciting month for Taylor Sheridan fans who love Landman and Yellowstone, as both series will resume concurrently.

It isn’t just Landman and Yellowstone that are getting a fast turnaround. Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown season 4 is set to premiere in October, just 14 months after the release of its last season. Sylvester Stallone is also expected to return for Tulsa King season 3 in September, which is less than a year after the release of Tulsa King season 2 in November 2024. Still, Beth and Rip’s spinoff is perhaps Taylor Sheridan’s most exciting turnaround.
