Personal items that once belonged to late comedian Betty White, who passed away this past New Year’s Eve at the age of 99, are set to go up for auction in September.
In all, about 1,500 pieces taken from her two California homes will be up for grabs, including clothes and jewelry worn by the star, along with various awards, scripts and memorabilia collected during her eight-decade career in show business.
Ahead of the live auction event in Beverly Hills, the collection will be set up as an exhibit aboard the flagship Queen Mary 2.

The final stop of the celebratory tour will be at Julien’s Auction in Beverly Hills from September 19-22.
The Property From The Life And Career Of Betty White auction will begin on Friday, September 23 at Julien’s Auctions and online on juliensauctions.com, and go for three days, until Sunday, September 25.

Among the prized possessions up for auction will be White’s original director’s chair from The Golden Girls set, which is expected to fetch between $1,000 and $2,000, according to Los Angeles Magazine.
Fans of the iconic sitcom will also be happy to learn that the first draft script for The Golden Girls pilot in 1985, and the production-used pilot script, signed by White, are also for sale, with bidding also expected to be $1000 to $2000.
Also on the block are White’s many awards and accolades, such as her Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement award; her 1994 Television Academy Hall of Fame award; the entertainers’ 2015 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Icon, all of which could land $800 to $1,200 each; as well as her Emmy Award nomination certificates for The Golden Girls, Saturday Night Live, and Hot In Cleveland that range between $300 – $700.
Even the yellow-painted front door from White’s longtime Brentwood home, complete with a vintage brass cat door knocker, is up for auction at around $2,000 to $3,000.

A 14 karat white gold necklace worn by White to the 28th Primetime Emmy Awards in 1976 ($1,000 – $2,000) and an oil on panel painting called ‘Waiting For His Master’ by 19th century painter Sir Henry Edwin Landsmeer are also up for bid ($10,000 – $20,000).
‘This is an auction representing an incredible life and career. It’s a lifestyle auction,’ said Martin Nolan, the executive director of Julien’s Auctions, as reported by the Toronto Sun.
‘All these items came from her home in Brentwood or her residence in Carmel in northern California, where she lived with her husband Allen Ludden,’ he added.
Nolan has valued the entire Betty White collection at $1 million to $2 million.
Again, after the transatlantic tour, the Property From The life And Career Of Betty White auction will take place September 23-25 in Beverly Hills. Widely considered a pioneer of early television, who was often referred to as the First Lady Of Television, Betty Marion White is among one of the first women to work both in front of and behind the camera.
She began her career in radio in the 1940s, and then made the transition to television in the 1950s. Her early accolades included earning the distinction of being the first woman to produce a sitcom (Life Of Elizabeth) in the United States.
After making the transition to TV, the Illinois native became a staple panelist of popular game shows, including the likes of Password, The Hollywood Squares, Match Game, Tattletales, To Tell The Truth and The $25,000 Pyramid, among many others.
She would also be heralded for her many guest appearances on such iconic shows as The Odd Couple, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Carol Burnett Show.
Many fans know her for playing the role of Rose Nylund in the hit series The Golden Girls (1985-1992), and for portraying Elka Ostrovsky in the sitcom Hot In Cleveland (2010-2015).
In all, White received eight Emmy Awards in various categories, three American Comedy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award during her career.
