A New Chapter: From Screen to Stories – A Letter to My Amazing Fans
Hey everyone,
It’s Raegan here. You’ve probably known me as Missy Cooper from Young Sheldon, a role that has meant the world to me since I was nine. But today, I want to share something deeply personal — a big shift in my creative journey that I’m incredibly excited about.
Acting has been a huge part of my life, but writing has been my secret passion since I was five years old. This past week, I released my debut novel, Rules of Fake Girlfriends, a young-adult rom-com that tells the story of Avery, a college student navigating first loves, family secrets, and finding herself in a new world. Writing this book has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me while creating it.
I want you to know that this book isn’t just a story—it’s a piece of my heart. Every page holds a bit of my own journey, my hopes, and the deep love I have for storytelling. I’m so grateful for the support and excitement you’ve already shown—it means everything to me.
Many of you have asked if there’s a sequel. While Avery and Charlie’s story has come to a close, there are more tales waiting to be told—like Maddie’s backstory, which I’ve been hinting at. I’m keeping that door open, and who knows what might come next?
But that’s not all. I’m also diving into a brand-new project—a fantasy novel that’s a big departure from rom-coms but equally thrilling to write. It feels like exploring a whole new world, and I can’t wait to share more when the time is right.
Thank you for being on this journey with me—from the screen to the pages. Your support inspires me every day to grow, create, and dream bigger. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the book or any questions you have—let’s keep this conversation going!
With all my love and gratitude,
Raegan Revord (they/them)
