Big Event: Two ‘Blue Bloods’ Actors Prepare to Get Married

Fans are about to say goodbye to Blue Bloods. The popular police procedural is ending despite being one of the most-watched shows on television. However, for two people, the show may be ending, but their partnership is just starting. Donnie Wahlberg has revealed that two actors got engaged after meeting on the show.

Here is who is getting married and what Donnie had to say about it.

Two Blue Bloods Actors Tying The Knot

Donnie Wahlberg has been outspoken about Blue Bloods ending its run. He knows that the show is still one of the most watched on television and Friday night’s top show. However, CBS wanted to freshen up the schedule and chose to end the show while it was still on top.

On a special called Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy, Donnie talked bout something special that happened while shooting the show. The special, which aired on November 29, had Donnie reveal that two people met in the background filming.

“We have a couple that met in the background filming, and now they’re engaged and they’re going to get married,” Donnie said. “That’s how many amazing relationships have been formed in all of the years in the squad room.”

The camera showed two actors dressed in police uniforms and standing in the squad room. They smiled and cheered when Donnie mentioned that they were getting married. He then said that brought an even more personal message to his own life.

Donnie Wahlberg Met Jenny McCarthy While Promoting Blue Bloods

Donnie Wahlberg went on to say that he met his wife, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, while promoting Blue Bloods. They have been married for 10 years.

Bloods. So much life has been lived. You get me mushy. You’re trying to get me emotional.” The couple celebrated their 10-year anniversary in August and renewed their wedding vows.

On top of the good memories, Tom Selleck, who led the show throughout its run, said that he had to stop in to ensure the show remained focused on the reasons he came onto the series in the first place. He was right too, as his ideas remained ingrained for the entire run.

“I called some people at the network. I called my agent and said, ‘This isn’t going to work.’ We were on episode 2, and I said, ‘Look, I don’t think I belong on this show if that’s what they’re going to do,’” he said. “But that was done in not in a threatening way but in a business-like way and it worked out pretty good.”
