Blue Bloods Cast Bids Farewell As Final Day of Filming Concludes
Donnie Wahlberg is saying goodbye to Danny Reagan.
On Thursday, June 20, the 54-year-old actor shared a video on Instagram as he arrived on the set of Blue Bloods for the final time.
Last day of Blue Bloods. Not sure I have the words to describe how I feel about today, or the last 14 years on this special Blue Bloods journey, but I do know how incredibly thankful I am for every moment of it, he began his caption.

Wahlberg extended his gratitude to everyone involved in the show including the cast, crew, and fans.
To the cast, the crew, the guest cast, every background actor, writer, producer and every member of every single dept—thank you. To the people of New York, in every neighborhood and borough, thank you for always showing your love
. He wrapped up his message by saying,
Lastly, to my fans, and the fans of this show. We don’t make it 14 days (nevermind 14 years) without you! Your love and support for this show has been one of the great blessings of my life. Thank you
.
In the video accompanying his post, Wahlberg exited a blue tour bus with a cup of coffee in hand after performing in Pittsburgh for New Kids on the Block’s Magic Summer Tour.
Pulled up from Magic Summer Tour to film Danny Reagan’s ‘last tour.’ Thankful to all, was what Wahlberg wrote over the clip.
Several of Wahlberg’s Blue Bloods co-stars also shared their sentiments on social media in honor of their last day of filming after 14 seasons.
A heartfelt photo posted by Vanessa Ray showed her sharing a group hug with Marisa Ramirez and Wahlberg. She captioned it with
I love them so much it hurts
, while Wahlberg remarked
Family forever
CBS announced back in November that Blue Bloods would conclude after its 14th season. Tom Selleck, who portrayed Frank Reagan since the beginning, expressed mixed emotions about the series ending.
It’s been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City but also displayed the importance of family
. He continued by expressing gratitude for his team saying,
Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes.

The cast had expressed hope for CBS to reverse its decision on ending the show. Selleck optimistically noted in an interview with CBS News in May that he believed CBS might reconsider due to their consistent viewership ratings. I’ll continue to think that CBS will come to their senses. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!
Excitingly during Paramount’s stockholders meeting earlier this month, co-CEO Brian Robbins indicated that future extensions are on the horizon for various Paramount TV shows including Blue Bloods. This leaves room for optimism about what lies ahead for the beloved Reagan clan.
