“Blue Bloods” ends the season with a series of unanswered questions, the audience is looking forward to the spin-off

Blue Bloods’ fans are not resting until they get what they want.

It’s been months since CBS canceled the long-running police procedural drama. Fans have been devastated ever since but not as much as Tom Selleck, who pleaded with the network to keep the show so he won’t lose his home.

The Blue Bloods bosses made a disappointing update on a possible spin-off but fans are not taking no for an answer.

Their hopes are understandable considering a lot happened during the season finale.

Eddie, his partner Luis and Mayor Chase were shot. Unfortunately, out of the three, Luis didn’t make it.

Before the mayor was sure he was going to survive, he gave the keys of the city over to Frank Reagan, played by Tom Selleck.

There was also a secret wedding, between Erin and Jack, and baby announcement from Eddie and Jamie.

Fans are demanding answers and more in-depth storylines to explain the sudden events that all happened during the hour episode. Shortly after the show concluded on Friday night, fans rushed to X with their opinions.

One said: “So many tears shed tonight during the Blue Bloods finale! Glad it ended on a happy note! Hoping for a spin off!”

Another added: “Watched the very last episode of Blue Bloods. Started good, ending a little too soft. Think Danny and Maria finally hooked up when going for pizza. Eddie and Jamie having a kid, that be a great story. Bittersweet that it was the last episode. Spin-Off?????”

A third mentioned: “Watched Blue Bloods faithfully, and we will miss it. We still watch the reruns on ION, and we hope it remains on there. That said, I am hoping that the rumors of a spin-off are true.”

Unfortunately, the showrunner, Kevin Wade, recently admitted that the last episode was made without any further projects in mind.

“So in the ingredients in the kitchen for the finale, we didn’t try to do that, not purposefully or not one way or the other.” he said. “”Simply believe me, that just was not on the horizon when we were doing it.”
