Everything you need to know about the long-running police drama.
The final season of Blue Bloods has officially wrapped filming.
Posting an image to mark the occasion on Instagram Stories (via Deadline), Donnie Wahlberg, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray were seen embracing each other on their final day on set.
“Not sure I have the words to describe how I feel about today or the last 14 years on this special Blue Bloods journey, but I do know how incredibly thankful I am for every moment of it. To the cast, the crew, the guest cast, every background actor, writer, producer, and every member of every single dept — thank you.”
Wahlberg continued: “To the people of New York, in every neighborhood and borough, thank you for always showing your love. To the NYPD, thank you for your support and sacrifice, I hope we did you proud.”
Having launched back in 2010, and 275 episodes later, the series is officially coming to an end.
The show, which is led by Magnum, PI and Friends star Tom Selleck as patriarch Frank, is a mix of family drama and police procedural and boasts a well-known cast, including Wahlberg and John Wick’s Bridget Moynahan as two of Frank’s kids.
We now know that the upcoming 14th season of the show will not only be split into two parts, but it will be the series’s last run, with the president of CBS Entertainment, Amy Reichenbach, and president of CBS Studios, David Stapf, saying in a joint statement: “Blue Bloods will forever be a beloved part of CBS’s legacy.
“It ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance since its premiere and established itself as a pillar of our winning line-up with an exceptionally devoted fan base.
“We’ll be forever grateful to the legendary Leonard Goldberg for developing this signature series, and to the amazing cast led by Tom Selleck, who America embraced as a family and watched as welcomed guests at the Reagan dinner table.
“We also sincerely thank the incredible writing and producing teams guided by executive producer Kevin Wade for years of compelling episodes, as they conceive this final chapter that we expect to be the most satisfying season yet for our loyal viewers.”
But when can fans expect to see the new season? Read on for everything you need to know about the upcoming Blue Bloods season 14.
Will Blue Bloods season 14 be the show’s final season?
Sadly, it will. It has already been announced that the 14th season of the long-running series will be its last, with star Tom Selleck saying: “For the past 13 years it has been an honour and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family.
“Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes.
“Thank you to CBS Studios and CBS Network for their steadfast support, and we offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who gathered with us for dinner every Friday night.”
On the bright side for fans, the new season will be an extended, two-part run, with the first 10 episodes arriving first before the final eight air at a later date.
When will Blue Bloods season 14 air?
We don’t yet know an air date for certain in the UK, but we do know exactly when Blue Bloods will continue airing in the US.

As for a UK release date though, we don’t yet have one but we can assume the series will return to Sky and NOW when it does.

Blue Bloods season 14 plot: What will happen?
The end of season 13 didn’t leave us with many cliffhangers or hints of what may happen in the upcoming season, but the finale did bring back some characters we haven’t seen for a while, including Danny’s former partner Jackie Curatola (Jennifer Esposito), and two family members who popped back up for the family dinner – Danny’s eldest son Jack (Tony Terraciano) and Erin’s daughter Nicky (Sami Gayle).
Could these reappearances be a sign more fan favourites may return for season 14? Jackie’s storyline was neatly concluded, but it would be great to see more of Jack and Nicky and other characters from previous seasons too, such as Lorraine Bracco’s former mayor and Bebe Neuwirth’s character Kelly Peterson.
Is there a Blue Bloods season 14 trailer?
