Yesterday (Jan. 9) marked two years since actor and comic Bob Saget‘s sudden passing at age 65, and his Full House co-stars — as well as some other stars and loved ones — have taken to social media to honor his legacy.
John Stamos (Jessie Katsopolis), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) reunited for a livestream to reflect on Saget’s passing, sharing some of their favorite memories and revealing the moments in which they think about him, Entertainment Weekly.
“Look what Bob gave us,” Coulier reminded his co-stars. “He gave us this. He gave us this moment right here. Always keep that person alive somehow, and that’s what we’re doing.”
Outside of the online forum, some penned their own individual tributes, as well.
Stamos, alongside the video of the Full House cast’s emotional reunion, wrote how it’s “hard to believe” that it’s been two years since Saget’s passing.
“I guess what I’m trying to say is, I miss him,” he wrote. “A lot. Every day. But I’m also grateful for the time we had, for the laughs, for the friendship. He was one of a kind, and I was lucky to call him my friend.”
She continued, “Although, to say I don’t think of him on most other days would be a lie. I still expect to see your texts in the group chat. Or hear, ‘Hey, by the way, it’s Bob’ as if I didn’t know. To the best TV dad there ever was… ❤️❤️ You will always be missed…”
Coulier also posted a picture of himself and Saget in front of the iconic San Francisco home where the ’90s sitcom was set.
“Bob was always hugging me,” he wrote. “I sure miss those hugs. I sure miss Bob. I loved him so much❤️.”
“I miss you always ❤️ I could use one of your hugs right now,” she penned.
Barber shared a joint tribute, honoring both Saget and her mother, the latter of whom passed on Jan. 9, 2023.
“Two of the greatest people in my life,” she wrote. “Two people who should still be here. Two people who both passed on January 9, exactly one year apart. I think about them every day, and today is certainly no exception.”
Outside of the Full House cast, Kelly Rizzo, Saget’s wife — whom he married in 2018, per People — posted “the last photo he shared” with her, which she said “perfectly encapsulates how he would want all of us to remember him.”
“With his guitar, on a stage, doing what he loved to do…making people laugh…making people happy,” she continued.
Singer John Mayer also paid tribute to Saget, sharing a photo of the two on Watch What Happens Live in 2017.
“Two years ago today, the whole world lost Bob Saget,” he wrote. “He was the tallest flower in the garden. His absence is like an ongoing presence. I’m never going to forget him. Love you, Bob.”
And actor and stand-up comic Jeff Ross kept it lighthearted, posting a silly snapshot of Saget opening the door on him while in the bathroom.
“Bob was so funny,” he shared. “Can’t believe it’s only been two years today — feel like I haven’t talked to him in ten.”
He also invited his followers to share their “favorite Bob memories,” adding that he “feel[s] like reading some today. ❤️.”
