Bode Who? Fire Country Introduces a New Flame Who Could Heat Up [Spoiler]’s Love Life in a Big Way

Fire Country is heating up with an all new season and several new faces. Keep reading to learn all about the new Season 2 cast members and their characters.

Created by Max Thieriot, Fire Country is CBS’ drama series centered on firefighters and inmates at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (also known as Cal Fire). It stars Thieriot as Bode Donovan, a young convict with a troubled past who joins the inmate firefighter program to redeem himself and shorten his prison sentence. Bode is assigned to his hometown in Northern California, where he must work alongside his former friends and other inmates as they fight wild fires that plague the region. Thieriot co-created the show based off of his own experience of growing up in fire country.

The series first premiered in 2022 and was quickly picked up for a second season in January 2023. All of the Season 1 cast members will be returning for the new season, including Thieriot as Bode; Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez; Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford; Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez; Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards; Diane Farr as Sharon Leone and Billy Burke as Vince Leone.

Who are the new Fire Country Season 2 cast members?

Who are the new Fire Country Season 2 cast members? Actors Rafael de la Fuente, Jason O’Mara and Tye White will be joining the cast of Fire Country in Season 2 as recurring characters, while Morena Baccarin will guest star.

Dynasty alum Rafael de la Fuente was first to be cast on the new season and he will star as Diego, a charming and motivated paramedic/firefighter who served in Afghanistan. Diego will be training Gabriela (Arcila) as she works toward her paramedic certification and the pair will enjoy an “easy camaraderie,” which could mean trouble for Gabriela and Bode’s already struggling relationship. In addition to the Dynasty reboot, de la Fuente has also appeared on Empire and Hallmark’s Letters to Santa.

Joining de la Fuente is Jason O’mara, who will be portraying Liam, a hunky firefighter with a relaxed confidence. Liam is also Sharon’s (Farr) an old colleague of . He will reportedly be very glad to see Sharon again, though we don’t quite know why yet. O’mara’s credits include Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle, Apple TV’s Truth Be Told, Departure and Netflix feature Hypnotic.

Tye White was cast at the same time as O’mara and will be playing Cole, a former MMA fighter and Bode’s new prison cellmate. Cole is a family man, and like Bode, he’s made some mistakes in the past and is trying to redeem himself by becoming a better man. With much of Season 2 set in the prison Bode was sent back to at the end of Season 1, there is sure to be plenty of drama ahead for Bode and Cole. White just wrapped up his starring role on NBC’s American Auto and has recurred on Chicago Fire, NCIS: Los Angeles and American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson.

Additionally, Deadpool star Morena Baccarin will guest star as Mickey, a Sherriff’s Deputy with 15 years of experience who knows every corner of Edgewater (Bode’s hometown) and each of its inhabitants, including Bode. According to Deadline, Baccarin has the potential to turn into a series regular on one of the spin-off series that is currently in the works.
