CBS has officially announced the development of a direct spinoff from the hit series Blue Bloods, titled Boston Blue, which is scheduled to premiere in fall 2025. The new show will follow Donnie Wahlberg as he reprises his role as Danny Reagan, who moves from the NYPD to the Boston Police Department. In Boston, he teams up with Detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a family with a long-standing tradition in law enforcement in the city.
Produced by CBS Studios and JBTV, the series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Donnie Wahlberg himself. This spinoff aims to bring fresh perspectives while continuing the legacy of Blue Bloods.
