A Sacrifice from the Mayor
Laura (Genie Francis) is up for reelection. And even though she is a popular mayor, Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) have worked diligently to smear her reputation. Their strategy was to paint her as someone easy on crime due to her connection to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
And through it all, she has remained true to her friendship with the man who owns the lucrative waterfront property Sidwell wants so badly. The weekly teasers warn that Laura is about to make a sacrifice. What does this sacrifice involve, and will she still have her job after the dust settles?
Britt Threatens Sidwell
Speaking of Sidwell, his interactions with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) have been tense and involve threats. However, he’s usually doing the threatening. After all, he told her he would cut off access to the medication she takes if she won’t spy on Dalton (Daniel Goddard).
On Thursday, however, Britt attempts to turn the tables when she threatens Sidwell. Let’s hope her threats work, but something tells us they won’t go over very well. Sidwell prides himself on being an alpha dog, and he won’t stand for it.
PCPD Police Commissioner Dante Falconeri
While Anna (Finola Hughes) is “off on WSB business,” Laura appointed Sonny Corinthos’s son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), to take over as acting commissioner. He has already enlisted Nathan (Ryan Paevey) to take his place as Chase’s partner. Look for Chase (Josh Swickard) and Nathan to get acquainted.
In addition, Dante’s work hits close to home, suggesting it may have something to do with where he currently lives. While the Qs are worried about Ned (Wally Kurth), who has just had a severe heart attack. They also need to deal with the fact that the boxes Tracy (Jane Elliot) packed up and took with her when Ronnie (Erika Slezak) was queen of the mansion haven’t arrived back home.
Drew bribed the moving company to take all those boxes to him. He is holding onto them as leverage for what exactly? What does this apparent Ebenezer Scrooge want from the Qs? The last name? Or is he simply trying to torture them because he lost out on buying the mansion out from under them? And if this is what Dante has to navigate, how will he resolve this situation?
Elsewhere in Port Charles
Meanwhile, in Molly’s world, she is feeling Drew’s wrath since he has made it difficult to see Scout (Cosette Abinante). Thankfully, he has loosened up on that for reasons that, of course, help Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
She is happy that her father’s back from his “digital detox,” although she has no idea what really happened there. Additionally, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) has begun to realize that she has feelings for Cody (Josh Kelly). So why do the teasers suggest that Molly is relieved? Hopefully, this has to do with Molly and Cody.
