Lisette Olivera Joins CBS’s FBI as Series Regular
Lisette Olivera, known for her role in National Treasure: Edge of History, is set to join the cast of CBS’s hit police procedural FBI as a series regular. Olivera will portray Syd, a skilled behavioral analysis unit agent preparing to transition into fieldwork and adding a new dynamic to the team.
The show, which recently wrapped its sixth season, delves into the operations of the New York field office of the FBI, focusing on the challenges faced by agents as they work to maintain safety in New York City and beyond. The series features a strong ensemble cast, including Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd, and Katherine Renee Kane.
FBI was granted a three-season renewal in April, ensuring that it will continue through Season 9. The seventh season is set to premiere on October 15, promising more thrilling storylines and character developments. The show is part of Dick Wolf’s successful franchise, which also includes FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
Olivera’s casting marks a significant step in her career following her lead role in National Treasure: Edge of History, where she played Jess Valenzuela, a young Dreamer on a quest to uncover her family’s history.
