Bridgerton: 4 Wild Things That Happen to Araminta After Season 4 — Including a Shocking Revenge md18

Guess which Bridgerton sibling is responsible for giving her food poisoning?

After eight tense episodes, Araminta (Katie Leung) finally got her comeuppance after Sophie (Yerin Ha) and Benedict (Luke Thompson) confronted her about what had really been written in Sophie’s father’s will. But what happens to Araminta after the end of the series? We’ve got all the details on her future, thanks to the Bridgerton books.

During Bridgerton season 4, Araminta is essentially the show’s villain, after she forces her step-daughter Sophie to be her maid, then casts her out for “impersonating nobility” and then tries to get her arrested for stealing her shoe-clips (which were actually give to Sophie by Araminta’s daugther Posy).

However, by the final episode Sophie and Benedict work with the rest of the Bridgerton family to come up with a plan to take Araminta down. They end up recovering Sophie’s father’s will, which reveals he in fact did leave Sophie a dowry and had asked Araminta to look after her, two facts she failed to reveal upon his death.

She ends the series looking disgraced, but what happens to her next? Here’s everything we know thanks to the Bridgerton books the series is based on by Julia Quinn.

What happens to Araminta after Bridgerton?

She becomes estranged from Posy

As we saw throughout season 4, Posy has a difficult relationship with her mother, and Araminta is much closer to her other daughter Rosamund. While we don’t get to see this in season 4, at the end of the book the season is based on, Sophie asks Violet Bridgerton to take Posy in and let her live with the family, rather than being subjected to carry on living with Araminta.

It’s then implied the pair have a difficult relationship and don’t speak for at least a year after. However, during a Bridgerton spin-off book The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After it’s revealed Posy does go onto name one of her children Araminta, with the nickname Minty for short.

She moves out of Grosvenor Square

During an interview with Variety, the showrunner for Bridgerton Jessica Brownell revealed Araminta moves out of her new home in Grosvenor Square, which was right next door to Bridgerton House.

She told the publication: “I think it would be too difficult for Araminta to live next door as she watches Sophie live the best life ever. So I think it’s safe to say that Araminta is probably leaving London next season.”

It seems like Hyacinth poisons Araminta

In a more wild turn of events during The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After there is an implication that Hyacinth poisoned or tampered with Araminta’s food, because she was unhappy with how Araminta had treated Posy, thanks to this line: “Well, Posy had never told tales, and she wasn’t going to begin now, but let it be said that Araminta had never again eaten fish. Or chicken.”

Eek!

Rosamund and Araminta return to the social season

After being ostracized for Araminta’s behavior, a few years later after the events of what happens in season four Araminta and Rosamund do return to the society.
