Bridgerton Fan Turns Up the Heat at Detroit Event with Pole Dance Performance

Dearest Gentle Reader, it has come to our attention that the Detroit Bridgerton Ball Experience was not so sparkling after all. Unfortunately, fans expecting an all-out regency experience were met with a lack of food, decor and entertainment. The sole performer-an aerialist and exotic dancer-didn’t know what she was getting into either. Keep reading to meet the Bridgerton Ball pole dancer and learn what she had to say about the chaotic event.

Who is the Bridgerton Ball pole dancer?

The Harmonie Club in Detroit hosted a Bridgerton-themed experience on September 22, and fans were less than thrilled, especially with the entertainment. Guests were shocked to walk into the “ballroom” to find a stripper as the sole performer. But who is she?

The Bridgerton Ball pole dancer, who performs as Tink and uses this moniker on her social channels, took to Reddit to share her experience at the event.

According to the Reddit thread, she’s an aerialist/circus artist specializing in hair suspension, Lyra hoops and aerial sling. But now, people on the internet know her as the pole dancer from the Bridgerton event. What’s even more interesting is that she was only hired three hours before the event and has never watched the beloved Netflix show.

Yerin Ha

In a long-awaited announcement, fans of the hit Netflix Regency era show, Bridgerton, have been treated with the casting of Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest for season 4. Australian actress Yerin Ha has been cast as Sophie Beckett and viewers want to learn all about her life and career ahead of the anticipated season.   ‘Bridgerton’ cast […]

Tink shares her experience at the Bridgerton Ball

On October 4, Tink introduced herself, shared more about her profession and was open to any and all questions regarding the Bridgerton event. “I’m here to share my side of the experience as well as provide support for other aerialists so – Ask Me Anything,” she wrote in the post.

Many questions focused on her livelihood as a performer, but several users wanted to know what she thought of the Bridgerton Ball.

The Bridgerton Ball Reddit AMA

One person asked, “At what point did you first realize that you were the only performer at what was supposed to be a very lavish event? How did you feel about that?”

Tink shared that she noticed very quickly after arriving at the event space, but she didn’t think too much about it and was only focused on doing her job. “Once I got to the event my assistant and I were helped by a worker from the venue’s team with parking, carrying and setting my equipment up and showed to my private dressing room,” she wrote in the post. “We also received assistance while leaving after my performances with striking my equipment, loading it back in my car and were escorted out safely.”

Someone else thanked her for sharing her experience and wondered what it was like to be hired at the last minute. She had no idea it would turn out how it did. “I was booked 3 hrs before my call and was asked for dance pole. The organizers did pay her rates of three sets for $800 and an equipment fee of $350 which is why she accepted the offer

The ‘Bridgerton’ world is full of gorgeous properties that are worth millions

“What was the most challenging part of performing at the Bridgerton Ball,” another wrote.

“The most challenging part was the last stage set I performed,” Tink responded. She didn’t pick her music and they played “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5, which she said was “uncomfortable” to dance to.

“Some of the attendees also touched my equipment which messed with the grip of the pole. (This is caused by people wearing lotion and touching the equipment),” she noted. “I was told by the event they would have security by the pole. There is a security guard in the back of my videos during the performances but I believe he left the pole unattended when I was not on stage.”

Other people asked her whether she had watched Bridgerton before this and what her reaction was to seeing everyone in fancy regency gear. Tink had never seen Bridgerton before the event, so she looked up clips on social media, but she plans on making time to watch it soon. As far as the costumes went, “I saw the attendees before I performed and thought everyone looked beautiful,” she added.

Tink’s support after the event

Even though the ball received a lot of backlash from attendees, many people still supported Tink and her career. Shortly after the event, she shared a video someone had taken to her Instagram, and the comments were an outpouring of love and awe for her talent

“Just your bridgerton str!pper checking in to say wow this has been a interesting week lol thanks for all the love and support!! I’m so grateful to call my Instagram a safe place who would have thought we would make headlines lol,” Tink wrote in the caption of the post.
