Though it’s been some time since season three was released in full, we’re still very much on the Bridgerton bandwagon.
It seems many of our fellow fans are in agreement, as there’s been a fresh frenzy over a sweet new clip of actors Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton.
The pair, who play love interests Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton on the hit Netflix show, have been thrust into the spotlight in recent months, touring the world for the release of season three.
Nicola and Luke brought their promo tour to Ireland, even making a stop in her native Galway where he enjoyed the true Irish experience for the first time.
In a new clip shared on Netflix’s social media, Nicola and Luke are seen reminiscing on season three as they bid farewell to their love story to make room for another couple’s in season four.
Nicola was reduced to tears as she emotionally said: ‘The people have really welcomed me, I don’t know what I expected honestly.’
The pair headed into a cinema where they re-watched scenes from their time on the show, all the way back to Penelope’s wallflower days in season one. ‘We look like babies. I loved that dress it was so cute,’ Nicola gushed over one scene.
When asked what message fans should take away from their relationship, Luke said: ‘There’s a message to it of discovering who you are but also you don’t have to do it on your own, someone can help you.’
Nicola added: ‘It’s life-changing, it’s going to have an impact on our lives forever, when we’re old and grey.’
Nicola and Luke then headed to the pub to enjoy a pint of Guinness, with the former revealing she landed the part of Penelope after just one audition. That’s our Galway girl!
‘Every screening we’ve gone across the world it’s a real pinch me moment,’ Nicola gushed, before telling Luke: ‘You’ve been so great at it, and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else… and I am SO tired.’
Fans are frenzying over the sweet moment between the best friends, with one exclaiming that we have to ‘protect Nicola at all costs.’
Another wrote: ‘Nicola and Luke you deserve the world,’ while a third outed us all, saying that we’re ‘all crying now.’
We’re bidding an emotional farewell to Pen and Colin… for now at least!
