That’s exactly what happened to Bridgerton newcomer Genevieve Chenneour when she bumped into the ever-charming Bill Nighy, best known to many as Rufus Scrimgeour, the Minister of Magic, from the Harry Potter franchise.
What started as a casual run-in turned into a surprisingly candid chat about one of the trickiest parts of acting: s*x scenes. Yep, you read that right. So what did the two actors talk about that everyone wishes they had overheard?

Apparently, yes, and the story is kind of adorable. Genevieve Chenneour revealed that her dog was the real reason she even crossed paths with Bill Nighy in the first place. While out and about, her dog got a little too excited seeing the Love Actually star, which led to an impromptu conversation between the two. Somewhere in the chat, the topic of acting and sex scenes came up.
She told Daily Mail,
Bill stood up and my dog just went crazy over him. So he came over to say, “Hi”, and then asked if I wanted to join him for coffee. We talked for about an hour about acting and s*x scenes. He was giving me lots of career advice.
She continued,
It was one of those moments where I was thinking, “We’re both in the same industry, but also, what the actual f***? I’m having coffee with Bill Nighy.”
It wasn’t some awkward or steamy exchange, more like a wise industry veteran helping out a rising star in the most unexpected, very British way possible
When Is Bridgerton Season 4 Releasing?
It looks like the Bridgerton universe isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and Season 4 is officially on the way. Netflix has confirmed that the new season will arrive in two parts, with Part 1 dropping on January 29, 2026, and Part 2 following on February 26, 2026.
This time, the spotlight finally swings to Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, the artsy, carefree brother. But that all changes when he meets a mysterious woman at a glittering masquerade ball. Her name is Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, a woman of secrets, hiding behind a silver mask and a complicated past.
Their love story, inspired by Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer from a Gentleman, is another Cinderella-style story to sweep us all away! Alongside Thompson and Ha, we’ll see returning Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, Ruth Gemmell, and Golda Rosheuvel. Expect to see some new faces as well.
