Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) love interest has been cast in Bridgerton season 4. The popular Netflix Regency era romance show is based on the novel by Julia Quinn. Just like the books, each season of the show focus on the romance of a different sibling in the wealthy and expansive Bridgerton family. So far the show has covered the courtships between Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page), Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), and Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), while Bridgerton season 4 will follow the Cinderella-inspired love story between Benedict and the previously unseen Sophie.
Per Variety, Bridgerton season 4 has cast Yerin Ha as Sophie Beckett, Benedict’s love interest. On the page, Benedict encounters Sophie as the mysterious Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball during book 3, An Offer from a Gentleman. At the time of writing, it is unknown if any changes will be made in translating the character from the page to the screen.

The Up-And-Coming Actor Has A Major Television Project Under Her Belt
Although joining the Bridgerton cast will provide the young Australian actor with one of her biggest opportunities yet, Ha already has several major projects under her belt. Although she made her feature debut in the buzzy 2022 horror movie Sissy, she has largely been in television following her debut onscreen role in the 2019 crime drama Reef Break opposite Poppy Montgomery and Ray Stevenson. That show springboarded her into other television roles in projects, including Troppo and Bad Behavior.
Her most prominent television role to date has been playing Kwan Ha as part of the main Halo cast. The Paramount+ science fiction action show was adapted from the video game franchise of the same name and ran for two seasons and a total of 17 episodes between 2022 and 2024. She appeared in 14 episodes, which received an average per-season score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes before it was cancelled in summer 2024.
Ha is also set for several major upcoming projects. In addition to starring opposite Late Night with the Devil‘s Ian Bliss in the 2025 miniseries The Survivors, she is set to play Young Kasha in the sci-fi epic spinoff show Dune: Prophecy later this year. Although Bridgerton will be something of a break from the science fiction projects, it seems like the period romance will be another solid stepping stone for the robust career that the star has been building over the past few years.
