Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page’s new movie has officially received a release date.
According to Deadline, Steven Soderbergh’s spy drama Black Bag will be hitting cinemas on March 14, 2025.
Page stars alongside iconic names including Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris, Tom Burke and Pierce Brosnan.
Much like its genre, details regarding the mystery movie are being kept under wraps for now. However, it will be written by David Koepp, who previously collaborated with Soderbergh on 2022’s Kimi.
Fans will be eager to see Page in an upcoming role, after his disappointing exit from Bridgerton. The actor chose not to return to the series following his wildly popular debut season.
His breakout role as Simon Basset is still fondly remembered by viewers, as well as Bridgerton creator Shonda Rhimes, who recently named the Duke of Hastings as her favourite leading man.
Speaking about his decision to leave the show, Page told Vanity Fair: “It’s much simpler than that. I signed up to do a job and I did the job and then I did some other jobs. That’s it. That’s the story. I wish it was more glamorous than that.”
Since leaving the period drama, Page has starred in The Gray Man and Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. He also lent his voice to nature documentary Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale.
