“One of the great things about Blue Bloods is people talk about it for the family dinner scene. I think that’s where people connect with it most, but it’s still a cop show,” Wahlberg tells Parade.com in this exclusive interview. “So, sometimes in amongst the family stuff, we have some really great whodunit episodes and this was a great whodunit episode. It’s really got a lot of twists to it. You don’t know exactly what’s going on till the end. It’s a shocking revelation.”

Then on Sunday, Wahlberg, who is a fan of the New England Patriots will be watching the Super Bowl, but will not be in the stadium in Miami when the San Francisco 49ers take the field against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“It feels so good to have no skin in the game for one year,” says Wahlberg. “It’s been an exhausting run. I do think my team will be back in it next year. But, honestly, to have three weeks of no stress in the playoffs has been really refreshing – but only for one year!”

What Wahlberg will be doing while he watches the game is playing a Twitter version of Spin the Bottle for Frank’s RedHot, a spicy sauce to which Donnie is addicted. The online game will afford fans who play along a chance to win a prize.

“I’m gonna get to interact with a bunch of fans and probably do some goofy dare pictures and stuff that we post on social media,” Wahlberg adds. “It’s one of the beauties of social media and that’s why I was so anxious to do this partnership with Frank’s, because I love connecting with fans. It’s such an easy thing to give back on social media. You just reach out and touch a button and you’ve made someone’s day.”

One lucky fan will win the ultimate prize, $1 for every day Frank’s has been in business, which amounts to $36,500, if you do the math, for the company celebrating its 100th anniversary.

“I think they became aware of me as a possible person to team up with because I’m always posting on social media about Frank’s, even though I had no relationship with them,” Wahlberg says. “Like their slogan: “Put that sh*t on everything,” that’s what I do. I really do put that sh*t on everything, and I plan on proving that on Sunday during the Spin the Bottle game. I will be proving that I actually do put it on everything.”

Wife Jenny McCarthy will be joining Donnie for the Spin the Bottle game in some form or another, but she won’t be putting Frank’s RedHot on everything like her hubby.

“Jenny is not so much of a hot person, but I’m sure she’s going to jump in on Spin the Bottle with me,” Wahlberg says. Then adds, “Jenny and I keep it hot in other ways that don’t involve Frank’s RedHot.”

Is Frank’s available at Wahlburgers?

We have our own sauces, but I do I use it at Wahlburgers. I’ve been talking to them about possibly integrating Frank’s as a permanent product at Wahlburgers. I have bottles and bottles and bottles of it. In fact, I posted a picture of me with like a four-gallon bottle at my house on Instagram, so it’s a natural relationship. I was really excited to do this partnership and, hopefully, we’ll do more beyond this.
