Can You Guess This Timeless Beauty? Bond Girl & Three’s Company Star Wows at 70

The 70-year-old Bond girl who starred in the hit 70s sitcom was unrecognisable in a rare appearance in LA… can you guess who?

One of her most famous film roles was in the 1989 James Bond thriller Licence To Kill, back when Timothy Dalton was in charge.

Before that, she starred in the final seasons of the classic 1970s and 80s sitcom Three’s Company.

The actress later worked with renowned directors, including Sean Penn, Kevin Smith and Lawrence Kasdan in the 1990s.

She went on to appear in a number of horror films and scored a late-career triumph with a recurring role on the hit series Jane The Virgin.

The star looked unrecognisable when she was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Can you guess who this film and TV star is?

She is 70-year-old actress Priscilla Barnes.

Priscilla was spotted in a casual, cool outfit that made her look especially youthful.

She wore comfortable jeans ripped at the knees and a burgundy T-shirt with no bra.

The actress, who wore her long blonde hair down, was seen heading home after a shopping trip.

Barnes achieved her greatest success as a regular on Three’s Company, joining the show for its final three seasons, from 1981 to 1984.

She starred alongside series regulars John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt as nurse Terri Alden, one of several replacements for original star Suzanne Somers who completed the eponymous trio.

Priscilla was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to an Air Force major father and a homemaker mother.

She and her three siblings moved around during her childhood due to their father’s job, before settling in Southern California.

After modeling in a fashion show, she got her big break in 1973 when Bob Hope spotted her at a show and invited her to join the troupe of performers he was leading for a show at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Spurred by her newfound success, she moved from San Diego to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Her first small roles included a role in Lynda Carter – Wonder Woman, but she received her first serious on-screen attention when she played a nurse with only one line in a 1975 episode of Columbo.

From there, she landed guest roles on The Rockford Files, Starsky & Hutch, Kojak and The Love Boat, among other shows in the late 70s.

One of her first film roles was in the 1978 college sex comedy The Seniors, in which she co-starred with a young Dennis Quaid.

After Three’s Company, her TV appearances in the 80s included a guest role on Murder, She Wrote, as well as two unrelated appearances on The Love Boat and two separate roles years apart in Hotel.

In 1989, she joined the James Bond franchise by playing the wife of secret agent Felix Leiter’s longtime friend in Licence To Kill, although her character was violently killed early in the film.

Priscilla remained prolific and appeared in several films throughout the 1990s, including the horror film Stepfather III, the Sean Penn-directed drama The Crossing Guard, starring Jack Nicholson, and the Kevin Smith comedy Mallrats.

She also worked with Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan on his 1999 comedy Mumford.

Her projects in the 2000s and 2010s were largely uncredited, but she did appear in the 2005 horror classic The Devil’s Rejects, written and directed by Rob Zombie.

In 2014, she had one of her best roles as the scheming Magda in Jane The Virgin.

Her character is the mother of Petra (Yael Grobglas), who tries to help her daughter take over a hotel owned by her husband Rafael (Justin Baldoni).

Priscilla has been married to actor Ted Monte since 2003.
