CBS Renews ‘FBI’ Through Season 9 Amid Strong Ratings and Fan Support

CBS has officially renewed its flagship procedural drama FBI through Season 9, securing the show’s future well into 2027. The announcement comes after Season 7 delivered impressive viewership across both live broadcasts and Paramount+ streaming.

The network praised FBI’s consistent performance and its role in anchoring the Tuesday night lineup alongside sister shows FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted (both now canceled).

FBI remains a cornerstone of our drama portfolio,” said CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach. “Its storytelling continues to resonate with audiences week after week.”

With Season 8 set to premiere in fall 2025, the series will continue to follow Special Agent Maggie Bell and the elite team tackling high-profile crimes in New York. A new cast member is expected to be introduced mid-season to shake things up.
