CBS announced its fall and spring schedule for the 2025-2026 season at a press briefing in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The lineup, made up of 16 returning and 8 new series, features a few key shifts from last year: most notably, “NCIS” is returning to its previous timeslot on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., followed by spinoffs “NCIS: Origins” at 9 p.m. and “NCIS: Sydney” at 10 p.m. This is the first time the network has stacked the franchise in this way — a move that CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said will be branded as “Super Tuesdays.”
Fridays on CBS will be similarly stacked, with three Jerry Bruckheimer shows premiering in a row. The night begins with “Sheriff Country,” a new spinoff of “Fire Country,” which will air directly after. And at 10 p.m., “Blue Bloods” spinoff Boston Blue” (working title) will debut. (CBS also announced the casting of Sonequa Martin-Green in “Boston Blue” at the press briefing.)
“Survivor” remains in its Wednesday 8 p.m. timeslot, and “The Amazing Race” will follow it at 9:30 p.m. in the fall after taking last fall off to make room for “The Summit,” which has since been canceled. In the spring, the historic 50th season of “Survivor” will lead into Padma Lakshmi’s recently greenlit cooking competition series, “America’s Culinary Cup.”
