CBS’s Ghosts season 3: next episode, cast and everything we know about the comedy

The ghosts of Woodstone Mansion are back for another season.

CBS apparently loves being haunted by the hilarious spirits on Ghosts, as the comedy is back for another season. Ghosts season 3 is a fixture of the CBS lineup alongside other comedies Young Sheldon season 7, The Neighborhood season 6 and Bob Hearts Abishola season 5 on the network.

Ghosts, which is adapted from the BBC series of the same name, was one of the top four comedies on US TV during the 2022-2023 season, per CBS. Fans have certainly come to love the show’s cast of characters, including Sam, Jay, Isaac, Alberta, Pete, Trevor, Flower, Hetty, Thorfinn and Sasappis. Although with a cliffhanger ending to Ghosts season 2, many may be wondering what lies in store for season 3? Here is what we do know about Ghosts season 3 right now.

Ghosts season 3 next episode

Ghosts is not airing a new episode on Thursday, March 28. In fact, even a rerun won’t be airing as CBS is instead broadcasting the March Madness Sweet Sixteen college basketball game between Clemson and Arizona when Ghosts will usually air.

Good news though, as Ghosts is scheduled to return with new episodes on April 4.

Ghosts once again shares the Thursday night spotlight on CBS with Young Sheldon season 7, while the rest of the night features So Help Me Todd season 2 and eventually the new series Elsbeth.

To watch Ghosts, you need to have access to CBS. That can be through a traditional pay-TV provider, a TV antenna or a live TV streaming service with CBS, including Fubo, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV. If you’ve cut the cord, you can also watch CBS shows on Paramount Plus, either live (if you opt for Paramount Plus with Showtime) or on-demand the next day (all Paramount Plus subscriptions); Paramount Plus also features all past seasons of the sitcom.

Ghosts season 3 plot

An expanding Ghosts season 3 plot is not available, but now that the Ghosts season 3 premiere has aired and we learned the answer to the season 2 cliffhanger we have an idea of some of the major storylines. In the final moments of season 2, Sam and Jay notice a light from the house that means that one of the ghosts has been “sucked off,” or has moved on into the next life. The question of who was “sucked off” was answered quite quickly in the opening moments of season 3, revealing it was Flower (Sheila Carrasco).

Flower’s exit is likely going to have major implications on the rest of the main group, including the other ghosts wondering why they haven’t yet moved on to the next phase of the afterlife and Thor missing Flower after starting a relationship with her last season. Also, expect Sam and Jay to get up to their own hijinks as they continue to run the Woodstone Mansion as a B&B.

Ghosts season 3 cast

Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar returning as Sam and Jay, the living married couple that run the Woodstone Mansion B&B, with Sam being the one who can see the ghosts that live there.

As for the ghosts, they are played by Brandon Scott Jones (Isaac), Richie Moriarty (Pete), Danielle Pinnock (Alberta), Asher Grodman (Trevor), Rebecca Wisocky (Hetty), Roman Zaragoza (Sasappis), Devan Chandler Long ( Thorfinn) and John Hartman (Nigel).

Sheila Carrasco’s Flower was one of the main ghosts for the first two seasons, but after her character was “sucked off” she is no longer a series regular. Although the creatives haven’t shut the door on her returning in some capacity down the road. One of the first images for Ghosts season 3, which you can see below, also reveals that Tristan D. Lalla, who plays Mark, is also going to return for several episodes of the new season.
