Chicago Fire: Brett’s Replacement Already Starred in One Chicago Shows

The official Chicago Fire promo introduces Violet’s new partner, but we already know him from Chicago Justice and… Chicago Fire itself.
Chicago Fire Season 12 has changed many things, but among them all, Sylvie Brett’s exit from the series proved to be the most emotional for fans. One of the most beloved Chicago Fire characters, Brett didn’t just leave fans: she also left her partner, Violet Mikami, who now has to deal with new unpleasant colleagues instead.

We’ve already met the Chief Paramedic and hated her; now, Chicago Fire introduced Violet’s new partner, and if you think you’ve seen him somewhere, you did.

Chicago Fire Promo Reveals Brett’s Replacement
Fans have been guessing who’d become Violet Mikami’s new partner after Sylvie’s exit from the show, and now we have an answer. NBC released an official promo for Chicago Fire Season 12 Episode 8, and it shows Brett’s replacement. Welcome Jared Lennox (Wesam Keesh), Violet’s new partner and thorn in her backside.

Why are we so convinced that Lennox will be a problem to Violet? It’s simple.
After Brett announced her leave from Firehouse 51, Violet Mikami was promoted to Paramedic-in-Charge. Hoorays aside, it meant she’d have to deal with the new Chief Paramedic, the person fans unanimously hate — and the person who explicitly prohibited Violet from choosing her own partner, wanting to pick someone for her.
This didn’t sound good for Brett’s ex-partner, but only because it wasn’t.

Wesam Keesh Already Starred in Chicago Fire
The new Firehouse 51 paramedic’s upcoming shenanigans aside, it’s worth noting that the One Chicago franchise has already worked with Wesam Keesh. The actor played different background characters in both Chicago Justice and Chicago Fire, even though his parts were immemorial to say the least. Being introduced as Jared Lennox is a huge step up for him as he jumped right into the regular cast now.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem like Keesh will have many friendly conversations with other actors, at least on-screen: Lennox’s introduction suggests he’ll become a problem for Violet Mikami and, most likely, Chief Paramedic’s “agent” in Firehouse 51.
