Firehouse 51 is losing two firefighters.
On Wednesday (April 16), it was reported that two stars will be leaving NBC hit drama series Chicago Fire at the end of season 13 and will not be returning if the show is renewed for a 14th season.
Deadline reports that Daniel Kyri and Jake Lockett will be both leaving by the end of season 13.
Daniel joined the show in season 7 as Firefighter Darren Ritter in a recurring role before getting promoted to the main cast two seasons later.

Jake has been on Chicago Fire as Sam Carver since season 11. He too started in a recurring role and got bumped up to series regular for season 13.
It is being reported that Daniel and Jake‘s exits are “part of an effort to trim the budget” of the long-running drama and come “amid rumblings about cuts across Wolf Entertainment’s NBC series” as they try to cut costs before officially renewing the show.
Due to reported budget costs, this could mean that season 14 may have fewer episodes.
Season 13 of Chicago Fire is currently still in production so it’s most likely that Daniel and Jake‘s characters will get a proper ending.
If you have not seen, so far, NBC has renewed 5 TV shows this year, but 4 were canceled in the last few months.
New episodes of Chicago Fire air on Wednesdays at 9pm ET on NBC.
